The MRL is delighted to report that the American Physical Society, Division of Condensed Matter and Materials Physics has selected MRL graduate student Moureen Kemei as one of two winners of the inaugural Richard L. Greene Dissertation Award in Experimental Condensed Matter or Materials Physics. The award recognizes Moureen's outstanding thesis on Magnetostructural and Magnetodielectric Coupling in Spinel Oxides. The citation will read: "For employing advanced characterization tools to gain new insights into the structure and electronic properties of magnetic materials."
Moureen will travel to the APS March Meeting in 2015, where she will receive the award and give an invited talk.
We congratulate Moureen, and also remember her terrific, selfless service to the MRL TEMPO lab and to MRL outreach activities.
