The group of Prof. Lotsch employs modern techniques of nanochemistry and combines them with classical methods of solid-state synthesis to develop chemical approaches to functional materials such as two-dimensional systems, porous framework materials, photonic nanostructures and layered heterostructures assembled with precision at the nanoscale.
