Visitors & Guests
If you plan to have visitors during your stay in Santa Barbara, please check with the landlord or property manager to see if they have a guest policy prior to signing an agreement. If you are renting a room in a house, they will likely need to be informed if you will be having guests stay with you. Also, be prepared to pay a guest fee.

Pets
Although Santa Barbara is a pet-friendly town, please note that many hotels and rentals do not allow pets. Craigslist has a search function on its site where you can search for cat- and/or dog-friendly rentals. In addition, many vacation rental homes will note on their listings if your pet is welcome. BringFido.com is also a great resource to search for pet-friendly hotels in the area. 

Smoking
Smoking is generally not permitted in most housing options.
