The lattice structures, the phase diagrams and a neutron scattering resonance implying an unconventional superconducting state provide evidence relating the cuprate, the Fe-pnictide/chalcogen and the heavy-fermion superconductors. Here we will review this and discuss the spin-fluctuation pairing interaction which we believe is responsible for pairing in this wide class of materials and provides the common thread linking them.
