Before any facility access can be granted, please read and follow the guidelines for all MRL users as listed here.  Specifically, ensure that you have turned in the MRL New Participant Safety Training form before requesting access.

The MRL building is typically open from 7:30a.m. to 5:00p.m. Monday through Friday excluding university holidays. Access for official business outside of these times, or to specific facilities anytime, is controlled through the Facility Managers and the Department Access Controller and requires prior access approval. 

Note that the MRL has facilities in buildings outside of the MRL building.  For access to facilities in Elings Hall, please visit http://www.cnsi.ucsb.edu/support/building/access-security.  For other MRL affiliated facilities, please contact the Facilities Manager from the appropriate facility - http://www.mrl.ucsb.edu/shared-experimental-facilities.

Building and Laboratory access is handled via a University ACCESS card.  The application form for an ACCESS card can be downloaded here.

After obtaining an ACCESS card, users may request facility access online at http://access.mrl.ucsb.edu.
